Spiritual Orientation
I struggled many years ago whether to follow the psychological or theological route in my studies. About 20 years ago when my Spiritual Sanctuary in Hawaii was coming into view, and after working toward my Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology, it became very clear my calling had a much stronger spiritual orientation.
As a consequence, Soulwork starts and ends with tuning into your soul, your Essential-self. I can feel and see through your false self and what beautiful parts of your essential nature are attempting to move into your consciousness. In doing so I hold a clear, loving, and compassionate space for you to explore and discover the same pure essence I experience with you, in you …while guiding you as gently as possible deep into what is getting in the way.
It's important to state that Soulwork does not try to replace traditional psychotherapy to heal a dysfunctional ego, or "fix" you through focusing primarily on your symptoms. While therapy typically focuses on dysfunctionality, Soulwork is present and future oriented; focusing on the individual who is in a place of relative wholeness but confused or in search of guidance on how to embrace more of their true nature, their soul. It is typically much deeper work for those who are ready to discover their True Self.
Organic & In the Moment
When I sit with you there is no method or investment in a method that I have learned that I bring to our session. This approach can cause your pseudo-soul some anxiety because it likes to know and prepare for what might come up. Instead, I create a space for your soul to take the lead in presenting whatever it wants to in order for it to awaken. "Your soul knows" …better than me or your pseudo-soul what best serves your awakening.
With this intimate connection I can often sense through your words and body what is not being said or felt both physically and emotionally -- what is getting in the way. My long-time intention is to empower you to learn to sense these same disconnects. This leads us to a wide variety of soul-inspired ways of helping you awaken to your soul's voice. At the same time you are taught ways to move through the inevitable blocks that arise. Old defenses are released into the light of your soul.
The very nature of Soulwork is Holistic and Integral. Depending on what it coming up, we may choose to work with your physical/emotional body; psycho/sexual body; higher/mystical capacity; intellectual/cognitive conditioning. These are worked with in a wide variety of ways while helping you understand cognitively what you are being invited to revision. At times counterintuitive (a form of Crazy Wisdom) approaches are taken to lovingly shake you out of your trance. There is no way to predict what a session will look like because your soul is always in charge.
Through deep Soulwork you actually get to experience over and over what it is like through our time together to "Be" and live "in the moment" without a predetermined agenda. Over time you take more and more of this into your daily life.
3 Keys to Success
Over the years I have watched with keen interest for the common keys that, when embraced by a soulworker, would lead to a breakthrough into a new level of awareness. Where there is a very large array of approaches and modalities that might contribute to an awakening, there are three that I always found present when awakening did occur. These three are:

- A willingness, albeit very challenging, to let go of past beliefs, fears, and move into a deeper place of surrender and vulnerability.
- An uncommon level of commitment to one's soul and awakening. This means you will "show up" even if your pseudo-soul cleverly works to convince you to contract or avoid further surrender by not showing up for yourself, or for the next session.
- A conscious effort and desire to work with and wake up all three Soul Centers (Head, Heart, and Belly/Body). In other words, allow the work to challenge your thinking, your heart, and your relationship to your body including all its parts.
